Kirkhillgait Nursery
At KGN, we want every child—and their family—to feel safe, settled, and supported. The best way to achieve this is by getting to know you both and building strong, trusting relationships between you and our staff. We are committed to listening carefully and addressing any questions or concerns, so you and your child feel confident and secure every step of the way.
Here are our steps to help your child settle in our nursery and feels safe and secure.
We want your child to feel safe, happy, and confident at nursery. Here’s how we help with settling in:
Stay with your child at first: A familiar adult should stay for the first couple of days (or longer if needed) until your child feels comfortable.
Gradual time apart: When your child is confident, you’ll be encouraged to leave for short periods. Coming back at agreed times helps your child feel secure.
Support from our staff: Our experienced team will guide the process and extend your time away at a pace that suits your child.
Daily routines: Each day, your child will be welcomed by staff. Please remember to sign your child in and out of the playroom.
We hope you and your child enjoy your time at KGN. You’re always welcome to chat with our staff or management team anytime!
